Chancellor urged to go on a war on waste

A TaxPayers' Alliance investigation has completed an audit of public sector spending. Within the last four financial years, the TPA has reported a total of £1,31,735,160 of waste across the NHS, Whitehall, local authorities and quangos.
Speaking to the Sun, which published these findings, our investigations campaign manager, Joanna Marchong, said:
“Taxpayers will be flabbergasted by the scale of waste.
“Ministers should remember that it is particularly pensioners who will suffer.
"If Rachel Reeves wants to fill the black hole a crackdown on waste would be an excellent place to start.”
