MOD chiefs spend £4million on hotels, bars and fast food

A TaxPayers' Alliance investigation has uncovered that Ministry of Defence officials have spent £4 million in three months on hotels, bars, taxis, fast food and restaurants.

Speaking to the Sun, which published these findings, our investigations campaign manager, Joanna Marchong, said:

“Taxpayers will be furious that the MOD hasn’t got its act together. 

“Despite the repeated scandals, defence bosses are continuing to splurge on luxury limos, five-star hotels and pub trips.

“Labour should put its money where its mouth is when it comes to cracking down on waste.”
